Here's The Sleek New Google+ App For Android

The Google+ Android app is Google’s latest target for a makeover.

Google today released a redesigned Google+ app for Android. There’s more spacing between pieces of content and larger images, giving it a sleek appearance like Google’s new Android operating system Ice Cream Sandwich and the new Google Reader and Gmail versions.

The new app also improves battery life and supports Google Apps users.

Google unveiled Ice Cream Sandwich and announced it would redesign Reader and Gmail last month.

Anyone running Android version 2.2 (Froyo) or higher can download the new application.

The home screen sports a new look with a notification icon in the top right

The stream page also has a new look, and you can tap on a post to comment or share it

Individual posts sport a new look, with photos now arrayed like they are on the web

Google has also revamped the page for posting content

Hangouts have some new controls on the bottom rail

Google Messenger now has bigger photos and a cleaner look

Each conversation also has larger profile pictures

Profiles have a new look to them

The post view tab for each individual has a new, evenly-spaced design

Google+ has a new album view, and you can swipe down to view all photo albums

Photos in each album dominate the screen in album view

You can see a quick preview of who is in each circle

The People tab also has a new look with much larger profile images
