UPDATE: It appears something has changed in the code. The +1 buttons on Schaap’s blog no longer work.If you know of any other workarounds, tell us in the comments.
EARLIER: Google is taking a stab at Facebook’s link sharing dominance with Google +1.
Since they were introduced last year, Facebook’s Like Buttons have popped up on almost every website, making it easy for people to share sites and services with one click.
Google +1 buttons are only available in Google search results (it will be available for all sites soon), but one blogger has discovered the code to get on your website now.
Schaap says he found the button code hidden, but doesn’t divulge where. If you’ve got some serious coding skills, we imagine you can find it too. (We can’t. But if you have any tips, let us know in the comments).
Until then, web designers can sign up with Google to receive an update when the buttons are officially available.
