The WGC Match Play Championship outside Tucson, Arizona has been delayed because an intense snowstorm just rolled through. The rare Arizona blizzard has produced some pretty surreal images of the snow-covered course.

The weather was fine at around 10:30 local time

But the radar wasn't pretty

The snow began falling around 11 a.m.

The desert landscape turned arctic

Most importantly, tiny ice pellets accumulated on the greens and made the course unplayable

Finally play was suspended about 15 minutes after the snow started

Now look at it
