Goldman Sachs’ CEO Lloyd Blankfein has become the first national corporate spokesperson for the Human Rights Campaign (HRC), an advocacy group that promotes equal rights for gay, lesbian, bisexual, and transgender people.”I’m Lloyd Blankfein, Chairman and CEO of Goldman Sachs. And I support marriage equality,” says Blankfein in an HRC video posted on YouTube.

Goldman Sachs is not well-known for supporting liberal causes.  And unlike some of the more outspoken bank CEOs, like JP Morgan’s Jamie Dimon, Blankfein is not one to make many public appearances.  We typically only ever hear from him when he is asked to testify before Congress.

“America’s corporations learned long ago that equality is just good business and it’s the right thing to do,” proclaims Blankfein in the video clip.
