Gold prices fell for the fourth day in a row.Gold futures plunged all the way to $1535 before recovering much of its losses.  It settled at $1,594.80 on the Comex.

The ongoing debt crisis in Europe has put increasing pressure on the commodity, forcing investors to liquidate their position and move back into cash.
