The Gmail App For iPhone Is Available Now!

Google has finally launched its native Gmail app for iPhone, iPad, and iPod Touch.

The app looks a lot like the current mobile web version of Gmail, but now you get the added bonus of push notifications, access to your phone’s address book, and the ability to attach photos stored on your device.

You can download the app for free here.

After briefly testing the app, it appears Google forgot to include push notifications, even though the description page in the App Store says it has it.

Also missing: The ability to check multiple Gmail accounts from the app in a unified inbox.

Here’s a screenshot of the iPhone version. You can swipe over to view your labels, sent mail, spam, etc.
