During yesterday’s Detroit IndyCar Grand Prix, there were a number of incidents on the track. But off the track, there was a peculiar incident that could be considered the definition of irony.According to Jalopnik, a man driving a Chevrolet Monte Carlo had a slight run-in with the GM headquarters that cracked the glass while making a U-turn in front of it.
However, a local blogger, Ferndale 115, is reporting that the driver became agitated when told he had to wait for police to arrive on the scene. Instead of moving the car out of the way, he hit the gas and rammed the building head on.
Yep, a GM car damaged the GM building…and vice versa.
The 26-year old driver reportedly damaged the revolving door and broke some glass of GM’s HQ. He is now in police custody according to Jalopnik.
