While Dana White has said that Anderson Silva vs. Georges St. Pierre at 185 will happen if St. Pierre beats Jake Shields at UFC 129, it appears GSP never got the memo. GSP recently expressed concerns about the size difference and sounded like a man with very little interest in the UFC Super Fight.
This is the first time I can recall Georges St. Pierre expressing doubts on the fight since Dana White announced the fight plans a few weeks ago. Listening to Dana White, it sounded like the fight was on as long as GSP beats Jake Shields at UFC 129. Anderson Silva also talked about the fight as if it was a given following his recent win over Vitor Belfort. It sounds like someone forgot to clue Georges St. Pierre in on the fight.
The GSP vs. Silva fight has been a topic of discussion for well over a year. Some reports indicate that when GSP went down to ringside to the broadcast area during the Silva vs. Demian Meia fight at UFC 112 that St. Pierre was scheduled to enter the octagon following the fight and make the challenge official.
