Hedge fund titan and noted philanthropist George Soros was quite the attraction this weekend in The Hamptons.
And it’s all thanks to his son, Alexander. The younger Soros, who headlines a variety of philanthropic initiatives, hosted a charity auction on Saturday evening to benefit the human rights operation Global Witness, Bloomberg reported this morning.
One package, that went for $2,500, was a membership to the Manhattan’s exclusive Sitaras Gym where Soros and son work out.
Other than getting to see Soros in his gym shorts (a jab made by 26-year-old Alexander), other auctions included a lunch for four with economist Nouriel Roubini at Daniel Boulud’s DBGB ($2,500) and a backstage Visit with Justin Bieber ($1,000).
Justin Bieber versus George Soros, it’s a tough call.
