Wearing a baseball cap, sunglasses, and toting a gun, an apparently-elderly man has successfully robbed thirteen banks across California. It remains unclear as to whether or not the man, nicknamed the “Geezer Bandit,” is actually elderly, or whether he’s wearing a mask meant to make him appear in his sixties (according to witnesses), and therefore unsuspecting.
Having swindled his way through the counties of Riverside, San Diego, Kern, and Santa Barbara, the FBI and banks are offering a $20,000 reward for his capture. And despite his clever disguise (or, you know, age), FBI spokesperson Darrell Foxworth warns ABC News that the suspect is armed and dangerous.
Maybe he’s just one of 31% of Americans who have nothing saved for retirement.
