Today is National Same-Sex Kiss Day at Chick-fil-A, and thousands of LGBT supporters are expected to flock to the chicken chain’s restaurants all over the country. The event was organised to protest Chick-fil-A president and COO Dan Cathy’s stance against gay marriage, which has escalated into a national controversy.
Same-sex couples will be gathering at their local Chick-fil-A location at 8 PM EST tonight to kiss in public.
This comes just two days after crowds of Chick-fil-A supporters packed into restaurants for Mike Huckabee’s Chick-fil-A Appreciation Day, which helped the chain break its one-day sales record.
Hopefully there won’t be any incidents. There was one bomb threat in West Virginia on Chick-fil-A Appreciation Day, but other than that there wasn’t a major conflict.
“The event is intended to show Chick-Fil-A how many people their donations and decisions are affecting, not to disturb business. They are still donating millions of dollars to anti-same-sex marriage institutions and that is unacceptable.”
