Today’s advice comes from GameStop’s CEO Paul Raines via The Wall Street Journal: “We are frequently introducing new products, concepts and business models at a high speed, so we give a lot of our top leaders new products and new assignments.”
Raines says that a good way to motivate employees is to continue pushing them to do better by creating new opportunities for them.
As a company evolves and incorporates fresh initiatives, workers need to evolve alongside those changes. Employees and their duties should grow as the company grows. Not only does it create dynamic work environment, but it also incites people to continue coming up with innovative ways to move the company ahead.
“If you are bigger than your job, your job will get bigger.”
