The consulting team over at PSFK has put together a great report that details the major trends that are changing the world of retail. In it, they also provide some scenarios about what could work in a rapidly evolving retail world.

One of the scenarios stuck out as we looked through the report. It’s the sort of concept that a consumer electronics big box store like Best Buy, which is being clobbered by “showrooming,” needs to implement if it wants to keep selling items out of physical stores.

At its heart, Best Buy’s brick-and-mortar problem is that it needs to give shoppers a reason to actually come to its stores (aside, of course, from testing products and buying them elsewhere).

This scenario presents one potential way that it could do that.

What do you think? Will offering services like these help turn around Best Buy? Let us know in the comments.

The retail world is evolving. Not everyone will be able to keep up.
