The West is worried about energy transmission.
That was the message, loud and clear, at a conference on western energy issues in Jackson, Wyo., earlier this week. If the West is to develop its ample wind resources – as well as keep feeding the nation with its other, less clean sources of energy – then it needs to build wires to take the electricity to populous places like California.
