Sonic is known for their adventurous menu items, with the most daring arguably being their pickle slush, which was released last summer. But this time they have gone more sweet than sour.

Next week, for a limited time, the drive-in fast-food chain will start selling fried Oreos with ice cream, a Sonic representative told INSIDER. Each order comes with three Oreos.

The Fried Oreo A La Mode will be released on January 28

The new Fried Oreo A La Mode will be added on January 28 at participating locations and will cost $US2.99.

The treat is “perfectly battered and fried to create a delectably crunchy and dippable treat served with SONIC’s famous Real Ice Cream,” the Oklahoma City-based restaurant described in a press release sent to the outlet.

Sonic is also releasing a Cinnabon Cinnasnacks A La Mode next week

But the state fair staple isn’t the only addition to the Sonic dessert menu. They will also be releasing Cinnabon Cinnasnacks A La Mode, which is described as a “warm, buttery pastries filled with melt-in-your-mouth cinnamon roll filling served with Sonic’s Real Ice Cream.”

A Sonic representative told INSIDER that these fried treats will only be available for a limited time.

And Sonic’s been on a new-options streak, earlier this year Sonic also added a savoury option to their menu: Hearty Chilli Bowls, giving Sonic’s chilli fans a chance to eat it in snack, side dish, or as its own meal.
