FRENCH PMI RISES TO 44.5

Just out: French PMI has rises to 44.5, up from 43.7.

This is still a bad number, as it is below 50 (signaling contraction), but it’s a sign that at least in France, the deterioration is fading a little bit.

This is a 3-month high for the index.

Still, according to the reports, there was a decline in business and employment.
