10 classic French dishes and where to try them in Sydney

Classic French cuisine is complex, rich, and decadent.

It’s regarded as one of the great cuisines of the world – indeed it gave us the word cuisine, and common restaurant terms such as entree, and had a profound influence of cooking around the world.

French gastronomy also set the culinary benchmarks chefs study to learn their craft.

Even the world restaurant comes from the French word “restaurer” meaning to “to restore or refresh” as well as the very notion itself.

With that in mind, here are 10 classic French dishes everyone should try at least once and where you can find them in Sydney.
