Apple Announces FREE iPhone 3GS On A New Two-Year Contract

At its Fall event in California today, Apple announced that its two and a half year old iPhone 3GS will soon be completely free after signing a two-year contract with your carrier.The device will come with 8GB of internal storage.

This is the first free iPhone Apple has ever offered, and will be a game-changing entry-level device.

The iPhone 3GS will run iOS 5, albeit slower than the iPhone 4 and 4S.
