A group of French hijackers have stolen several copies of the new video game “Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 3” amounting to a value of $1 million, reports Le Parisien. Two trucks carrying several thousand copies of the game were targeted early Saturday morning after one of them was rammed by a car. When the drivers went to inspect the damaged they were greeted by two masked bandits armed with knives and tear gas.
Modern warfare, indeed.
According to the paper, another truck was attacked at a different location by three men with a handgun. The New York Post reports that the criminals still remain at large. It is unknown where the games are (our guess: eBay).
UPDATE: The Guardian reports that some British retailers are selling the game before its official release date having received copies from a “European supplier.” Coincidence? Most probably.
