A 23.5-ounce can of Four Loko used to say that its 11-12% alcohol content gave it the potency of one or two regular beers.Apparently, they were wrong.

The FTC found that it actually contains the same amount of alcohol as four or five beers, and determined that it isn’t safe to drink in one sitting.

So now, Four Loko maker Phusion Projects has agreed to change the labelling and packaging of Four Loko to more accurately fit the contents of the cans. They’re also making the cans resealable, according to the AP.

But don’t feel too badly for Four Loko. The change essentially ups the marketing juice for Four Loko, which is largely consumed by teens looking for a quick way to get bombed.

As long as the product itself remains the same, not much is going to change. Even when Four Loko was banned in multiple states, people simply developed a black market on Craigslist.
