Craig Dunn, a former CEO of AMP, has been appointed to the board of Westpac to help the bank push its wealth management business.

Westpac chairman Lindsay Maxsted said: “Wealth management is a key growth area for Westpac, and having Craig on the board will support this strategy and complement the board’s current skills and experience.”

Dunn was chief executive of AMP from 2008 to 2013. He was also recently appointed chairman of Sydney’s new financial technology hub, Stone and Chalk.

He will be an independent non-executive director at Westpac.
