In the US, it doesn’t take a lifetime to amass a 10-figure fortune.
In fact, nearly 3% of America’s richest people — those with fortunes of at least $US2 billion — are under 37, or part of the millennial generation (born between 1981 and 1998).
That’s according to this year’s Forbes 400 list, which determined the net worths of the wealthiest people in the US by taking into account stakes in public and private companies, real estate holdings, and other assets including art, jewellery, cars, and planes. All net worth estimates are current as of October 17, 2017.
