Flu Season Is 22% Worse Than Last Year, And Drugstores Are Raking It In

Flu activity last week was 22% worse than last year, continuing an abnormally bad season, according to Citi’s Deborah Weinswig.

Lots of sick people means a boost for drugstores. Walgreens administered 6.38M shots through February, compared to 5.1M last year. CVS administered 2.39M shots, compared to 1.6M last year.

Outpatient service providers are also seeing a boost in traffic.
