More Evidence That The Market Isn't Too Worried About The Fiscal Cliff

Bloomberg Brief economist Michael McDonough Tweeted out this chart showing the number of Bloomberg wire stories with the words “debt ceiling” and “fiscal cliff” and overlaid those lines with the Volatility Index (VIX), which is often referred to as the fear index.

Basically, the chart reiterates that the market is just not all that worried about the “fiscal cliff” issue.

This is a similar message communicated by a chart we’ve recently seen that overlaid the VIX with the policy uncertainty index.
