After four straight days of declines for US equity markets, finally things are looking up.

The mood for the day started in Japan, where stocks ended with a pretty nice gain.

Shanghai also had a strong night, gaining a similar amount.

Stocks are up across the board in Europe, and commodities are generally higher.
