There are four huge MLB playoff games today.Typically, Fenway Park is the centre of the baseball world on days like these.

But after the Red Sox’ horrible collapse in September, the historic Boston ballyard is shuttered until April.

We happened to be in the neighbourhood, and went over to see what Fenway looked like today.

Yawkey Way, a pedestrian walk on game days, is more or less empty

No crowds bustling at the entrance

Gate E, shuttered

No need to open the ticket counter until April

No reason to hit the bars on Lansdowne Street

You can take a ballpark tour, for what it's worth

We wonder which new players will have their Sox jerseys in the team store come spring

Wait until 2012 to buy your souvenirs

There's parking galore

Some Red Sox fence art makes Fenway less sad

Don't get too down, Sox fans, you won world titles in 2007 and 2004 remember
