A bizarre study from NBER looks at how likely Europeans are to be worried about various issues.
The Portuguese were the most fearful people when surveyed in 2002, with 71% worried about world war, 87% worried about epidemics, 51% worried about Mad Cow disease, etc.
The Greek are the next most fearful, followed by the Spanish and the Italians.
