The 15 movies that made $1 billion at the box office the fastest, including 'Jurassic World: Fallen Kingdom'

Universal‘Jurassic World: Fallen Kingdom.’

On Friday, “Jurassic World: Fallen Kingdom” passed several films on this list to become one of thefastest movies to earn $US1 billion at the global box office.

The “Jurassic World” sequel accomplished this feat in well under a month, which only 14 other films have ever done, including 2015’s “Jurassic World.”

Universal’s “Jurassic World: Fallen Kingdom” is one of three movies to cross the $US1 billion mark just this year. Disney’s “Black Panther” and “Avengers: Infinity War” both stormed on to this list earlier this year.

We ranked these movies by the days it took each film to gross $US1 billion worldwide, and we used each film’s gross on the day it passed $US1 billion to break any ties.
