Facebook’s website suffered a rare outage Thursday.TechCrunch reports that users around the world took to Twitter to complain that Facebook wouldn’t load, starting around 7:26 EST. Some users in the U.S. apparently couldn’t access the website for more than two hours.

Facebook acknowledged the outage later that night.

“Earlier today, some users briefly experienced issues loading the site,” a company spokesperson said in a statement to Reuters. “The issues have since been resolved and everyone should now have access to Facebook.”

Given all the other issues the company is dealing with right now, the last thing it needs is for the website itself to stop working.
