A woman killed in the nation’s deadliest transportation accident in nearly a decade wrote a sweet post on Facebook commemorating her love to her husband just days before the crash.
Newlyweds Amy and Axel Steenburg were among the 20 people killed in the limousine crash in upstate New York on Saturday.
The couple got married on June 30. On October 3, Steenburg shared a Facebook post thanking her husband for being so “kind and loving.”
“I love you more than words can say!” she wrote. “You are such an amazing man and entertain all my crazy ideas.”
The couple rented the limo with friends and family to celebrate Amy’s 30th birthday. Three of her sisters were also passengers in the limo. They have been identified by their aunt as Abby Jackson, Mary Dyson, and Allison King.
Their brother, Tom King, told the New York Post the four sister were “very tight.”
Andrea Hojohn Orokos started a GoFundMe for the families of Axel and his brother. “It is beyond devastating for everyone who knew them all,” she wrote on the page.
