Our chart of the day shows Facebook monthly active users (MAUs) and daily active users (DAUs) as part of the global internet population (ex-China, where Facebook is banned). While the global internet population is growing very fast, Facebook is growing even faster.
This also shows the massive upside left for Facebook. Conventional wisdom is that Facebook user growth will peak soon, and now it needs to figure out a way to get more revenue out of its existing users. While it should certainly also do that, Facebook still has a LOT of room to grow users. And if it manages to do both—which is likely—watch out.
