Facebook Officially Reveals App centre

Facebook just unveiled its App centre, a directory of apps which use Facebook’s social graph on both Web and mobile.

At an event for developers at the Bluxome Street Winery in San Francisco by the train station, Facebook executives Doug Purdy and Matt Wyndowe gave a brief presentation of App centre’s features.¬†Facebook has been previewing App centre for a while, so there weren’t many surprises.

But there were some interesting tidbits. Purdy gave a shoutout to social-games makers King.com and Wooga. Path, Stitcher, and Voxer are some of the partners Facebook’s Matt Wyndowe highlighted.

So clearly, the App centre is a chance for Facebook to highlight some of the apps and app makers it likes best.
