Facebook Just Added A Feature To Timeline That Businesses Will Love

Facebook is trying to make its Timeline profile pages more interactive by letting developers add customisable action links to posts that come from apps.

Until now, whenever a user listened to a song on Spotify or checked into a store on Foursquare, their friends would see the update and only have one of two options: either like the post or comment on it.

Now, Facebook is giving developers the ability to add a third option to that list. Foursquare, for example, has added the option for users to “save this place” when they see a post about a friend checking in somewhere, while Fab.com now lets users “fave this product.”

In this way, Facebook isn’t just encouraging users to engage with each other, but with the brands and products as well.
