REVEALED: Email From Former Lehman CFO Blasting David Einhorn For Being A 'Disingenuous' Cherry-Picker

Hedge fund hot-shot David Einhorn is known for publicly shorting Lehman Brothers’ stock before the bank’s demise in 2008.

Now we have a glimpse to an email exchange between Greenlight Capital’s founder and Lehman’s CFO Erin Callan thanks to a huge cache of Lehman documents obtained by law firm Jenner & Block. [via Dealbreaker]

Basically, Callan called Einhorn “disingenuous” following a telephone conversation and email exchange because she felt he had “cherry picked” comments and “set her up” ahead of a presentation he was going to give about shorting the stock.

Here’s what happened. (Click to enlarge the emails).
