BOTTOM LINE: Those European PMI Reports Signal Shrinking Growth

As we noted earlier, some of the Eurozone PMI readings came in better than initially expected.However, the readings were still pretty ugly and appear to be signaling contraction in the Eurozone.  Check out this chart from Bloomberg economist Michael McDonough.
