Occupy Wall Streeters Furious About Getting Mockery From Erin Burnett

Financial journalist and CNN anchor Erin Burnett, also known as the “Street Sweetie,” visited the Occupy Wall Street headquarters in Zuccotti Park in Manhattan’s Financial District. [via Politico]

On the premiere episode of her new show Erin Burnett OutFront, she checked out the Wall Street protests and said “Seriously?” calling out their use of cell phones, MacBooks and wearing designer yoga clothing.

Here’s where she schooled one of the protesters on the bank bailouts.

Burnett:  “So do you know that taxpayers actually made money on the Wall Street bailout?”

Protester Dan: “I was unaware of that.”

Burnett: “They did.  They made — not on GM, but they did on the Wall Street part of the bailout.”

Protester Dan: “OK.”

Burnett: “Does that make you feel any differently?  If I were right it might?”

Protester Dan: “Oh. Sure.”

Obviously, this kind of mockery isn’t going over well with OccupyWallStreet supporters.
