So, starring in a Harmony Korine film about girls robbing a fast-food restaurant to pay for their spring break? Pretty much par for the course.
Emma Roberts‘ involvement? More surprising.
The film, called “Spring Breakers,” will be Korine’s first since, uh, “Trash Humpers,” which is basically a literal take on its title.
Korine famously scripted “Kids,” the gratuitous NC-17 take on teenage sex, HIV and drug use.
Franco will play “Alien, a rapping drug and arms dealer, [who] bails [the girls] out and entices them to kill his arch-rival, a murderer who is appropriately named Arch.”
The world is a strange place.
