Kids hoping to see Dwight Howard next week at his annual youth camp are going to have to settle for an autograph instead. According to the Orlando Sentinel, Howard will skip the camp, choosing instead to remain in California to rehab his surgically repaired back. While Howard may have a good excuse for missing the camp, the fans in Orlando are probably going to be less-than-forgiving for what they will likely consider just the latest snub by their All-Star centre. And given the drama in recent months over his trade demands, as well as recent public appearances he has made at Dodgers games and elsewhere, it will be hard to blame them.
According to the report, campers will instead receive an autograph from Howard, a ticket to an Orlando Magic game, and an Adidas gift bag. Campers can also ask for a refund.
