Sports Illustrated once pronounced sports super agent Drew Rosenhaus “The most hated man in pro football.””B.S. The players like me, I think the owners, the teams like me. The agents don’t like me. That still stands today and it always will.”
That’s how Rosenhaus responded to CBS’ Scott Pelley during Sunday night’s 60 Minutes segment on the maniacal football agent.
His peers have called him a “sleaze ball” and a “thief”.
Why are fellow agents so heavily anti-Rosenhaus? Maybe it’s because he’s the best at what he does. With over 170 active clients, Rosenhaus boasts the largest agency in football.
The man works tirelessly.
“I eat it, live it, sleep it every single minute of the day,” he told Pelley.
He is not married because he, admittedly, spends more time focused on his professional life than his personal. He’s bailed his clients out of prison in the middle of the night. He was the first person to greet his most famous client, Plaxico Burress, outside Oneida Correctional Facility following Burress’ two-year jail stint.
“I really believe that the NFL would fall apart without me,” he said.
