Dow Opens Below 7,000

We’re now back to October 1997 on the Dow, as the index opened around 6950. Of course, the Dow’s a badly-designed index and 7,000 is a totally arbitrary number, so who cares, right?

Everything’s down today, as the indices are off by a range of 1.5-2.2%. One winner: AIG.
