CNN anchor Don Lemon has no intention of letting his extra 15 minutes of cable fame go to waste.
Last week The Daily Show did a segment featuring Lemon having a hard time disguising his contempt for the ridiculous ‘news’ stories daytime cable TV is so famous for.
The next night Lemon popped up on a (pre-taped) segment of the Colbert Report.
Then on Sunday night he made headlines around the Internet after going toe-to-toe with Rand Paul.
And today finds Lemon diving into the deep end of the Internet ocean and answering questions over at Reddit.
If CNN begins to rethink their decision to air a rerun of Anderson Cooper‘s 8pm show during the 10 pm hour this fall Lemon seems very keen to present himself as a viable alternative. And why not, he’s the most interesting thing to come out of CNN in a while.
Except that he may not actually watch all that much CNN.
From today’s Q&A:
On a scale of 1 to 10 (10 being lamest) How Lame is Anderson Cooper’s ‘The Ridiculist’
I have to be honest, I haven’t really seen the segment. I watch the show but I haven’t caught the segment. Sometimes his show is on in the background when I’m getting ready for bed etc. So I don’t get a chance to watch it from start to finish.
This isn’t the first time Lemon has admitted straying from his own network. In a ‘What I Read’ feature in the Atlantic Wire Lemon revealed he starts his day with Morning Joe.
He does however prefer CNN over Fox.
