It is with much excitement and anticipation that we pass on the news, via Dealbreaker, that the leather-wrapped and stiletto-sporting private equity millionaire Lynn Tilton, is getting her own reality show.
The Sundance Channel just announced a new reality show project called The Diva of Distressed, featuring Tilton and her turnaround business.
It will of course Tilton as she
“whips men, and companies, into shape” the Daily Intel reported.
Apart from her signature blond mane and penchant for leather, she’s not afraid to speak her mind, and that makes for good TV. An example: in a WSJ profile, after having been probed on whether she’s like other private equity chiefs that “strip and flip” their companies, she responded, “You must be mistaken. It’s only men that I strip and flip. My companies I hold long and close to my heart.”
Here’s how Sundance is marketing Tilton’s new show:
She’s brash. She’s bold. She’s a billionaire in stilettos. Lynn Tilton is the Diva of Distressed, and she’s on a mission to save America’s troubled businesses. While Wall Street thrives, Main Street struggles to stay afloat. That’s when Lynn steps in with fresh ideas, deep pockets, and high expectations. With her no-nonsensebusiness philosophy and unorthodox style, Lynn works to get these enterprises back on track and return stability, pride, and hope to the small town communities they support. This is a captivating look at the power of creativity to shape the future of our country.
