The Most Amazing Satellite Images Of The Year

This is your last day to vote in DigitalGlobe’s Top Satellite Image of the year contest. The website initially nominated 20 high-resolution birds-eye views of Earth — which are snapped by DigitalGlobe’s own army of satellites — and posted them to its Facebook page. The five images with the most “likes” moved on to the next round. The company will announce the winning image in early January 2013.  

Right now, a fluffy cloud hovering over Japan’s Mt. Fuji is in the lead. The other top four are shown below.
