*UPDATE: Apple.com seems to be back up and running. According to Jesus Diaz at Gizmodo, Apple.com was certainly not hacked and went down because of intense traffic.
Apple.com is down right now, not responding at all.
And it seems like people are assuming that it’s a traffic thing.
But some are suggesting it was a hack of somekind. Apple.com seems to be working on Firefox and Safari, but not on Google’s Chrome browser.
Some are speculating the something else is wrong with Apple.com and we’re receiving “WhoIS Spam.” Just look at these results from Amazon.com.
Or perhaps Akamai web hosting is down. This Twitter user claims that “Apple.com fails with an Akamai IP address.”
