Canadian Jobs Report MISSES Expectations At 17.5K

A slight miss.

The Canadian jobs report came in with a 17.5K gain, just shy of the 20K analysts had expected.

Unemployment ticked up to 7.5%, contra expectations that it would stay flat at 7.4%.

Canadian unemployment/labour data comes out at 7:00 AM ET.

Analysts expect 20K new jobs, a reversal from the loss of -18.6K last month.

The unemployment rate is expected to hold steady at 7.4%.
