A group of friends got an Airbnb for a weekend -- and found a human corpse in the yard

A group of friends got a terrible surprise when they found a dead woman in the garden of a house they rented in on Airbnb for a 25th birthday celebration.

Yes, that’s correct, a dead body. The house is located south of Paris in Palaiseau, France. The decomposing body was allegedly found on February 27 “hunched in a dug-out area, her head against the ground, covered in branches and surrounded by wood stumps,” France 24 reports. Foul play is suspected.

The police have not been able to identify the body, but say the woman was barefoot and wearing a ring. The authorities are planning to do a full autopsy.

As for the Airbnb owner, he says he’s “flabbergasted,” and that he’d never rented out his home before the incident. No word on whether he’ll be doing it again anytime soon.
