Huffington Post has unconfirmed sources saying that British tabloid The Daily Star has been raided by police. UPDATE: Sky News is now also confirming the raid.

Tweetminster reports that The Daily Star was the new workplace of former News of the World royals reporter Clive Goodman. Goodman was arrested this morning.

A former Daily Star-staffer is downplaying the incident, paraphrasing a source in the newsroom “Plain clothes Police were here. They didn’t raid newsroom, just took stuff frm Goodman’s desk. Low key”

The Daily Star is owned by English businessman Richard Desmond.
