And the bloodbath on Wall Street still continues.
The latest round of cuts comes from French bank Credit Agricole.
The bank is expected to lay off at least 2,300 employees worldwide, Bloomberg reported citing a French banking union official.
Here’s the anticipated breakdown of where the cuts will be felt, according to the report.
- 1,700 will likely be let go from the corporate and investment banking division. About 500 of those will be in France.
- 600 jobs at the consumer-finance business will be let go.
Bloomberg also reported that the layoffs could be up to 2,500 according to a French newspaper Les Echos, which did not cite anyone.
