RSVP cards mean something, people!
A couple who had to bail on their friends’ wedding at the last minute due to a babysitter issue now has to pay the newlyweds $US75 to cover the cost of the meals they didn’t show up to eat.
The $US75 was invoiced to Jessica Baker of Minnesota and her husband from the bride and groom a few weeks after the wedding. Baker was shocked.
Here’s the photo Kare 11 shared to its Facebook page. It was shared over 2,000 times.
The note below the bill simply states:
This cost reflects the amount paid by the bride and groom for meals that were RSVP’d for, reimbursement and explanation for no show, card, call or text would be appreciated.
We’re pretty sure most etiquette books would advise wedding guests not to bail, but we’re also pretty sure they’d advise the newly wedded not to bill.
