Condé Nast plans to open at least two more restaurants abroad in 2012, according to Women’s Wear Daily). The publisher said it would open a Vogue Café in Kiev and a GQ Bar in Istanbul next year, adding to its already existing culinary establishments in Moscow.
Currently Moscow is the home to Vogue Café, GQ Bar and Tatler Club.
Jonathan Newhouse, chairman of Condé Nast International, told WWD:
Vogue and GQ stand for the best in taste, discernment and pleasurable living. Nothing could be more natural than to expand these brands into restaurants where our readers and digital users can experience these brands in a new and exciting form.
The restaurants fall under Condé Nast’s restaurants division, which was created last year to expand the Condé Nast brand around the world. The publishing house also recently said it planned to open a fashion and design college.
There are future plans to open restaurants even in countries that Condé Nast doesn’t publish in yet.
With the announcement of the two restaurants, Condé Nast also announced it will launch GQ Turkey in March 2012.
